Free Teen EKG Screenings

The leading cause of sudden death among young athletes is sudden cardiac death (SCD). Every three days in the U.S., a student athlete dies of SCD. Usually there are no advance signs or symptoms.

Miami Children's Hospital Nicklaus Outpatient Center is offering free EKG screenings to middle and high school sports participants on Saturday & Sunday, March 2nd & 3rd, from 9 am to 4 pm at The Honda Classic. Families can sign their teen up for The Honda Classic-based screenings at the MCH Nicklaus Outpatient Center booth.

Thanks to the generous support of The Honda Classic, screenings will also be available seven days a week at the MCH Nicklaus Outpatient Center at Legacy Place, 11310 Legacy Avenue, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410.
