Pat Bradley, Captain Pat Bradley, a 31-time champion on the LPGA Tour, is the captain of the 2000 U.S. Solheim Cup Team. A member of three U.S. Solheim Cup Teams (1990, 1992, 1996), this is Bradley¹s first time at the helm, succeeding 1996 and 1998 captain Judy Rankin. A native of Westford, Mass., Bradley joined the LPGA Tour in 1974 after an amateur career in which she won the 1967 and 1969 New Hampshire Amateur. She also won the New England Amateur in 1972 and 1973. Bradley played on the 1990, 1992 and 1996 U.S. Solheim Cup Teams, two of which were victorious. Her Solheim Cup record is 2-5-1. Bradley captured her first LPGA victory in 1976 at the Girl Talk Classic and won 30 more times between 1976 and 1995. She became the first player in LPGA history to surpass the $2, $3 and $4 million milestones. In 1986, she was named the Rolex Player of the Year and won Vare Trophy honors after winning five LPGA titles, including three major championships. Bradley¹s win at the 1986 LPGA Championship made her the fourth LPGA player to complete the career Grand Slam. In 1991, she again earned Rolex Player of the Year and Vare Trophy honors, as well as topped the money list, on the strength of four LPGA titles, including the MBS LPGA Classic, where she won her 30th career victory to enter the LPGA Tour Hall of Fame. Bradley¹s last victory came in 1995 at the HEALTHSOUTH Inaugural. She is still actively playing on the LPGA Tour.
