Lowery extends lead at Farm Bureau

Steve Lowery shot a 65 on Saturday leaving him 20-under par after three rounds and extending his lead to three strokes at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic.

Fred Funk moved into contention with a 64, placing him in a tie for second with Kenny Perry and Billy Andrade at 17-under 199.

"My goal was to get in position to try to win the golf tournament and I am if Steve (Lowery) would just calm down a little bit," said Funk.

Turnesa, Runner-up 1948 PGA Championship, Dies at 93

Turnesa, who lost to Ben Hogan in the final of the 1948 at Norwood Hills in St. Louis, won six events on the PGA Tour from 1927 to 1957.

He was one of seven golfing brothers, six of whom became professionals.
