Sweden's Sophie Gustafson and American Vicki Goetze-Ackerman share the lead at 9-under 135 after 36 holes of the Mizuno Classic at the North Course of the Seta Golf Club in Japan.

Gustafson, who shared the lead with Rachel Hetherington after the first round, carded a 3-under 69 on Friday.

Steinhauer charges to share of lead at AFLAC

Nancy Scranton held the lead in the AFLAC Champions for the third straight day. Now, though, she has to share the top spot on the leaderboard.

Sherri Steinhauer, Scranton's teammate on the U.S. Solheim Cup team, birdied four of the last five holes in Saturday's third round for an 8-under 64. That moved her alongside Scranton at 14-under 202 in the LPGA's Tournament of Champions at Magnolia Grove's Crossings Course.

Scranton still in front at AFLAC

Nancy Scranton used another dazzling iron display Friday to take a two-stroke lead over Karrie Webb in the AFLAC Champions.

Scranton shot a 3-under 69 for a 10-under 134 total on Magnolia Grove's Crossings Course. Webb, a six-time winner this year, charged up the leaderboard with a 67, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 16th hole.
