Pepper, Inkster in Hyundai finals

Dottie Pepper and Juli Inkster, seeking their fourth straight LPGA title, beat Grace Park and Kelli Kuehne 4 and 3 today in the Hyundai Team Matches.

Pepper and Inkster will face Sweden's Annika Sorenstam and Canada's Lorie Kane in the final Sunday. Sorenstam and Kane beat Meg Mallon and Beth Daniel 2-up in the better-ball event.

"This is what we wanted," Sorenstam said. "For us it would not have been a successful tournament if we did not get to the finals and play those two.

Webb leads Australian win at World Cup

Australia won the inaugural Women's World Cup on Sunday, with Karrie Webb leading a charge past the Sorenstam sisters of Sweden.

Webb and Rachel Hetherington entered Sunday trailing Annika and Charlotta Sorenstam by three strokes. But the Aussies finished two strokes in front with a three-day total of 13-under 275.

Sorenstam sisters lead World Cup

Sweden's Sörenstam sisters, Annika and Charlotta, overcame hot sun and rain Friday and finished with a 5-under 67 to take a one-stroke lead over Australia on the opening day of the inaugural Women's World Cup of Golf.

Annika and Charlotta had six birdies and a bogey on the front 9, and the solid start ensured they would finish at the top.

Inkster redefines Hall of Famer

After the fourth ring, the voicemail system on her cell phone kicks in and shows why Juli Inkster is more than just a Hall of Fame golfer.

"Hi! My mom can't come to the phone right now," says the voice, which Inkster later identifies as 10-year-old Hayley. "Please leave a message. Knowing my mom, she'll call you back sooner or later."

LPGA Tour: Annika Sorenstam found the perfect cure for a bad attitude Saturday -- make a lot of putts, then walk off the course with the lead.

Still steaming over a bad finish to her second round, Sorenstam made five birdies on the back nine for a 4-under 68 that gave her a one-stroke lead over Dottie Pepper in the season-ending Arch Wireless Championship.
