Sony Open In Hawaii Pro-Am
The Sony Open In Hawaii is not just a golf tournament…..it is an event full of music, entertainment and celebrity appearances. At the 2001 Sony Open in Hawaii Pro-Am participants got first “spin” on the Hawaii set of the popular WHEEL OF FORTUNE game show. Hosted by Pat Sajak and Vanna White, participating Pro-Am teams vied for premier positioning to select their PGA Tour playing partner at the Tuesday night Draw Party.

Earlier that day.........
a live cooking demonstration was held on the 11th fairway, staring famous Hawaiian Chef, Sam Choy, and celebrity guest chef “Wheel of Fortune’s” Vanna White.

Rounding out the entertainment,
Sony Music recording artists Daryl Hall & John Oates performed live for guests at the Official Pro-Am Awards Celebration on Wednesday evening.
All of this was followed by the four-day competition of the Sony Open in Hawaii at Waialae Country Club, Hawaii.
