Mission Statement

The American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) is the national resource for the more than 1.3 million children ages 8-18 years of age who sacrifice their education, physical and emotional health and childhood as they provide care for family members who are ill, injured, elderly or disabled so that all US caregiving youth are able to complete high school, know they are not alone and have the support they need to become healthy productive adults. The mission is to raise awareness about caregiving youth, foster the replication of the Palm Beach County Caregiving Youth Project.
