PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – Kids will receive special treatment this year at The Honda Classic with a special ticket with lanyard designed for kids by a kids contest winner, special seating in three high-profile areas of the tournament and a Saturday night dance party featuring music from High School Musical III adjacent to the putting green.

The Honda Classic will introduce a ticket designed by Marine Andriot, a fifth grader from Boca Raton Elementary. Andriot was selected as the winner in a ticket design contest entered by more than 100 Palm Beach County elementary school students and administered through their physical education classes and the First Tee National School Program. The PGA of America and The Honda Classic have teamed to incorporate golf into the curriculum of 50 Palm Beach County schools.

Students submitted an 8.5” X 11” art piece with the theme of the excitement and fun of The Honda Classic and/or playing golf with friends and family. Kids, with ages 15 and under admitted free, will receive a ticket upon entrance into the tournament.

The winning art will also be used on signage to identify the Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center Kids Zones at the tournament. These kids only seating areas will provide unobstructed sightlines to the 18th green, 17th green and practice range.

Radio Disney will sponsor a High School Musical II Dance Party for kids after the conclusion of play on Saturday. The fun will begin at the Honda Pavillion at 6 p.m. and fireworks, presented by Tire Kingdom/Yokohama, will follow at 7:30 p.m. Day care service will be provided for adults who want to drop off their kids and attend the After Play Concert series at the Heineken Premium Light Terrace.

The Honda Classic, Palm Beach County’s largest sporting event, awarded more than $505,000 to area children’s charities in 2007, allowing the tournament to surpass the $15 million mark in charitable contributions during American Honda’s 27-year tenure as title sponsor.

The 2008 Honda Classic golf tournament will be played February 25-March 2. Tickets are now on sale at www.thehondaclassic.com.
