HONDA CLASSIC ADDS CHARITY GALA TO EVENTS SCHEDULE
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – It’s not a gala or a black tie affair. It’s not an auction or your typical fundraiser. The Honda Classic has a new non-golf event on its calendar that can best be described as “an experience.”
The Honda Classic presents Cars of Dreams on January 18, 2008 at local businessman John Staluppi’s private car museum in North Palm Beach. It will be a night of live music, dancing, food and drink to benefit the Children's Healthcare Charity.
The museum features meticulously restored vintage cars and period pieces amid a backdrop of a nostalgic village equipped with some of America’s best-loved icons that reflect the golden age of the cars. Attendees will walk amongst the timeless treasures, remembering the days when they hid in the trunk to get into the drive-in or their first kiss under the stars. Staluppi’s collection spans over 50 years of automotive history while focusing on the post-WWII to 1970’s time period.
Food stations and bars will be interspersed throughout the museum during the event.
The night will carry a Frank Sinatra theme with entertainment provided by Bob Hoose and his 16-piece orchestra. Hoose is known for the natural likeness that his voice carries to the sounds of Sinatra.
Tickets will be $250 per person.

The Honda Classic, Palm Beach County’s largest sporting event, awarded more than $505,000 to area children’s charities in 2007, allowing the tournament to surpass the $14 million mark in charitable contributions during American Honda’s 26-year tenure as title sponsor.
The 2008 Honda Classic golf tournament will be played February 25-March 2.
